Sanse was founded in 1492, after the ran away of 32 neighbors of Alcobendas’s locality who were established in tents around the hermitage of San Sebastian.
The motive of the escape was the pressure that they was submitted by the feudal gentleman D. Juan Arias of Avila. The Kings Catholic, to favor the growth of the population of the territories of the Crown, allowed the foundation of the new village close to a nearby hermitage dedicated to San Sebastian, placed inside the limits of the Villa of Madrid.
This way, under the protection of the hermitage and for the direct support of the Kings of Castile and Aragon, it took his name. San Sebastian of the Kings takes letter of definitive identity in the year 1492, under the legal protection of the Kings Catholic.
